Susini gave his book the title "Designs and Measures and Rules for the Posing of the Human Body." The treatment of the measurement constitutes the largest section of the manuscript. This drawing on folio 27v shows views of Michelangelo's Night in the new Sacristy of San Lorenzo, Florence.

Each of the figures in this section comprises a network of line segments that allow comparison of the relative length of different body parts and of the distances between them.
