Although this grisaille fresco was formerly attributed to Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, it is typical of the monochrome fresco decorations by his son, Giovanni Domenico. Viewed in isolation, the narrative subject of the painting is not immediately apparent, suggesting it once formed part of a larger series.
