This scene is on the wall of the room of Carnival Scenes in the Foresteria of the Villa Valmarana.
Mondo Novo, a kind of panopticon in which one could view pictures of exotic worlds, was part of Venice's Carnival. What we see is not the diorama inside but the colourful crowd waiting outside, eagerly pressing up to the entrance.
