The sitter of this portrait can probably be identified as Caroline Henriette von Baumbach, who married Lieutenant Colonel Carl Ludwig von Urff in 1755. Tischbein had already painted her once before in the year of her marriage (Schloß Wilhelmsthal near Kassel).
