Prokopy Danilovich Vereshchagin (1764-c.1811) and his son Petr Prokopovich Vereshchagin (1795-1843) were painters. Petr Prokopovich had three sons, Vasily Petrovich Vereshchagin (1835-1909), Petr Petrovich Vereshchagin (1836-1886), and Mitrofan Petrovich Vereshchagin (1842-1894) who were also painters. Another contemporary Russian painter, Vasily Vasilyevich Vereshchagin is not related to this family.
