Clear, dark-green glass with diamond-point engraving, height 14 cm

This type of glass is known as roemer (from the German 'römer', meaning Roman). It was engraved by Anna Roemers Visscher as a gift for the poet Constantijn Huygens. This roemer is one of the five surviving signed glasses by the artist.
