Huntsmen Setting Out

The Hermitage holds a significant collection of paintings by Philips Wouwerman; Catherine the Great acquired the majority of these works in the last decades of the eighteenth century. Huntsmen Setting Out portrays a band of merry hunters, the hawk-bearer proudly holding his bird aloft.
