This Book of Hours was made in Ghent or Bruges c. 1450. The miniature on folio 131v depicts priests in their stalls in the choir of a medieval church. They are singing Vespers of the Dead and up to three clerics are sharing each Breviary. This is not a Mass, for it is not taking place by the altar.
