This miniature on folio 1v of the Turin-Milan Hours depicts the Annunciation. This page introduces the mass on the fourth Sunday of Advent. It is the work of the so-called Master of the so-called Master of John the Baptist. The initial shows the return of the dove to Noah's ark. Inn the bas-de-page Mosses is shown in front of the burning bush. The initial and lower miniature were executed in Bruges under the direction of Jan van Eyck.
