Aside from the Last Judgment, the pictorial program consists mainly of the biblical stories long traditional in Rome. The eastern section contains the following, from the top to the bottom: angels; the Creation (the hardships of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel's offerings, Cain killing Abel); the story of Joseph (Joseph's sale to Potiphar, accusation by Potiphar's wife, Joseph in prison); the life of Christ (presentation in the Temple, Joseph's dream, flight into Egypt); the story of John (baptism of Christ, Herod's censure, John in prison).
