1800-05
Carved and gilded wood, 91 x 179 x 83 cm
Museo di Palazzo Martelli, Florence

The style and ornamentation of this console recall certain Baroque prototypes produced in the grand ducal workshops inspired by the taste typical of the Florentine court at the beginning of the seventeenth century. It is actually a derivation from the beginning of the nineteenth century. The table top is of yellow Siena marble.
