This interesting cabinet is not decorated with marquetry, its two small doors are covers with embroidery in coloured wool and its sides are similarly decorated. The pattern is of colourful, curling vines in a vase. Around 1700, fire screens, table tops and seats of various kinds were often covered with embroidery, but it is extremely unusual to find it on a cabinet.
