Mold-blown glass
Soprintendenza per i Beni Ambientali e Architettonici di Venezia, Venice

By 1291, the Venetian glass production was concentrated on the island of Murano. The medieval glass industry was geared to the production of everyday items such as bottles, glasses, and bowls, which were already being exported to German speaking countries as well as England and France.

The picture shows a mold-blown globular bottle with long ribbed neck, produced around 1400.
