Templar church, Tomar (Portugal)

The fortress-like central church of the Templars in the monastery of the Knights of Christ is dating from the second half of the 12th century. The Templars ruled from Tomar a vast region of central Portugal which they pledged to defend from Moorish attacks and raids.
