Interior view

Cathedral, Worcester

In Worcester Cathedral a new choir was built from 1224. The Gothic style of the west of England was shown off to advantage only on the exterior of the building and in the side asiles.Aprt from that, the cathedral revealed the colourful raiment of the Early English style in finely balanced variations that combine the structural simplicity of Salisbury with the decorative delights of Lincoln.

The photo shows the retrochoir looking northeast.
