Cathedral, Toledo

Gothic cathedrals after models of the modern French episcopal churches were constructed in Spain after the 1220s. The construction of the archiepiscopal cathedral of Toledo began immediately after Burgos and the church was based essentially on the same French model: the Cathedral of Bourges.

Toledo Cathedral is the largest 13th-century building in Spain.

The photo shows the façade.
