I am proprietor of a picture that was probaly painted by Vicellio Tiziano. I am researching its works for we conclude definitively that was painted by him. The picture not has signature but for the studies and researches we already concluded that is of a authenticate Tiziano. And a pretty picture of Magdalena in the Grotto. He/She would like to know they cannot he/she/it to help me you identify it and you also negotiate it. At once i thank the attention. Magno Tasca.

Your web site is one of the best I have visited. What a privilege to be able to call up such a range of images. As someone who has been studying Cosme Tura it is almost miraculous to find so many images of his work when he is virtually unknown in most studies. You have made the web a more civilised place and deserve thanks for that. Jeremy Newman

Ambrogio Lorenzetti "Allegory of Good Government" graphics are lovely, but the last two are merely continuations of the "Effects of Good Government" upon the countryside and have no relationship to "Bad Government." How about adding the latter?

Your Holiness: I trust that your team will forward this message to you. I am sad that there is not enough money for us to live. It is true that there are those who are and have been far worse off than we are now. Still, it feels as if there is no stay to the bills, the debts, the agony of feeling so very defeated. This request may seem a little strange, but if you could, please say a prayer for us. My wife and I, Tsaritsa Tara, and our little boy the Tsarevitch z. Alexandre, would be enormously grateful if you would take the time to convey some of you Holy Blessings. His Imperial Majesty Tsar Ivan the Seventh

I have only recently returned home to the USA from Rome, Italy. One must see the sculpture of Bernini, to truley understand how marble can live. It is stone, but it is alive. There are no words, no pictures, no videos, that can do justice to seeing it with your own eyes. IT LIVES!!! Anyone who loves art, and can go to Rome, MUST go. The City is full of "Eye Candy". Thanks for the opportunity to speak.

I am a Roman Catholic sister working as a missionary in Tijuana, Mexico. I live alone & work alone (with no other sister helping me) among the poor people living in squalor in the outskirts of Tijuana. Often, an night, I search the Web. About 2 months ago I found your SUPERB website, and I've been using it ever since. I have catalogued all of its paintings and sculptures into 3 catagories to help in my ministry of preaching: Christ; Old Testament; Saints. I download the pictures and use them in my weekly Bible study group. I thank you so much for all the effort that you no doubt made to design such a magnificent website that brings us the world's Masterworks. May God bless you.

In my attempt to find some background on my ancestory, I stumbled upon your website. I have always been fasinated by Italian Artists and can now explore at my own leisure at the University I attend. My main curiosity, however, is that my grandmother, Amalia (Lorenzetti) Ackerson, had told me as a child that we could be traced to an artist on her father's side (obviously holding the last name Lorenzetti). If you are aware of a website I could log onto to continue this unending search, could you please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated! Her father, my great-grandfather, had traveled to the states as a teenager leaving everything he had in the hopes of finding a "new life". He unfortunatly left his curious great-granddaughter with no evidence of his own self. Again, I would appreciate any information you could provide me. thank you

I am a direct decendant of on of your featured artists, Paolo Veronese, and decided today that I was going to look up some of his work and compare it to some of my own personal artwork (you know,to see if it runs in the family!),and I was getting nowhere in other sites. Then I remembered coming here recently to do research for a project in my art class, and I have ended up finding everything I wanted to know. You had such a wonderfully infomative biography and the pictures were so beautiful,I even cried. Thank you so much and I will be sure to come here fist next time! P.S. My work is nowhere near as good as Paolo's yet, but maybe someday you can display my work when it gets there!

Living in Spain has given me a chance to see some of these great works up close. I am really starting to appreciate art works and I have got to tell you, WOW! Thank you for the wonderful website and keep it up.
