Coptic sculpture (4th-6th centuries)

Stone sculptures of the 4th to the 6th centuries from Egypt comprise capitals, especially of imported marble, as well as other architectural elements (e.g. friezes, cornices, consoles, lunettes, niches and reliefs) and stelae carved in local limestone.
