Stained glass window
Cathedral, Évreux

14th-century stained glass windows of outstanding quality survive in the choir of Évreux Cathedral, southwest of Rouen. The three windows at the end of the sanctuary are glazed in full colour. The window in the centre features the Virgin and Child, accompanied by St John the Baptist. In the window on the left there is a monumental Coronation of the Virgin, and in the window on the right an Annunciation. In each case, the donors of the stained glass are shown kneeling, alongside their coat-of-arms, in the bottom panel.
