Façade of the Oratorio di San Bernardino, Perugia
by AGOSTINO DI DUCCIO

Between 1457 and 1461 Agostino was working on the façade of the oratory of San Bernardino, Perugia. Although the architectural framework of the façade recalls Alberti's design for San Francesco (Tempio Malatestiano) in Rimini, the sculpture, originally highly polychromed, is rich and intricate, emphasizing line and movement.
