Palazzo Chiericati, Vicenza

The Palazzo Chiericati was designed by Andrea Palladio in 1551 for Girolamo Chiericati. Construction continued for several years and was not completed until the end of the eighteenth century. Brusasorci, who applied his talent to the decoration of Palladio's architecture, was engaged in the decoration of one of the halls, the Hall of Firmament, on the ground floor in the Palazzo Chiericati. This rectangular space is distinguished by a soaring, barrel-vaulted ceiling, where a unified composition unfolds to spectacular effect.
