Margaretenkirche (St. Margaret's) at the Benedictine monastery of Bøevnov is another of Dientzenhofer's masterpieces. The southern side of the exterior effectively serves as the façade, as the two central bays are raised like a centrepiece crowned by a gable and flanked by engaged columns, as on a palace. The effect of the choir and west entrance front is consequently somewhat muddling.
