This masterpiece of the Florentine manuscripts was made for the outstanding figure of the Florentine Renaissance, Lorenzo de' Medici.
The picture shows the page (folio 14) facing the Annunciation page with a frame of similar character. The page is the introduction to Mary's Officine, the prayers offered to Mary. The initial D therefore depicts the Madonna and Child.
