Madonna Enthroned with Child and Two Angels

Giotto painted the altarpiece depicting the Virgin enthroned with Child and two angels for the church of San Giorgio alla Costa in Florence. It has been cut on both sides and the lower part during the Baroque transformation of the church at the end of the 17th century. Later it was transferred for preservation to the present location, the Diocesan Museum, Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence.
