During the 1330s, Giovanni di Balduccio continued to practise in and near Florence; he was responsible for a cycle of reliefs with the Apostles and Virtues for Orsanmichele. Two of these reliefs are in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence and in the National Gallery of Art in Washington. They stem from a tabernacle of the miraculous picture that existed before that of Orcagna and was made by Giovanni di Balduccio in 1333-34.
