The picture shows the fresco in the west vault cell. It represents St Thomas Aquinas between the allegories Spes and Fortitudo. The other vault cell contains also St Thomas Aquinas between other allegories, Moderatio and Caritas (south cell), Prudentia and Fides (east cell), Justitia and Temperantia (north cell).
The frescoes on the walls of the Strozzi Chapel were executed by Nardo di Cione.
