San Giobbe, Venice

San Giobbe church in Venice was established in 1378 as an oratory and hospice for poor people; it was only in 1450 that the construction of the today's church was started, after a visit in Venice of the charismatic friar Bernardino da Siena in 1443. The works were completed by Pietro Lombardo, who made San Giobbe church one of earliest exemples of Renaissance architecture in Venice.
