In 1774-77 in the Boboli Gardens Zanobi del Rosso designed the Casa del Caffè (also called Kaffeehaus), perhaps the best example of Rococo style in Florence. He redesigned this area of the garden, changing the fountain basins and the arrangement of the plants. On this occasion the Ganymede Fountain by Battista di Domenico Lorenzi was placed on the lawns further downhill from the Kaffeehaus.
The fountain consists of an oval basin with white marble bow beneath the marble group of Ganymede atop an Eagle.
