François Mansart (1598-1666) was one of the most important French architects of his age besides Jacques Lemercier and Louis Le Vau. As a young architect he designed in 1623 the façade of the church of the Feuillants in Paris. The design, known to us through the engraving by Marot, shows clearly Mansart's early style.
