Master Honoré from Amiens was the most highly regarded Parisian manuscript artists of the years around 1300. By 1296 he was in the employ of the king. This manuscript contains a purchase note that 'In the year 1288 I bought the present decretals from Honoré the illuminator dwelling at Paris...'
