Collegiata, Santarcangelo near Rimini

Blessed Clare (Beata Chiara) of Rimini (c. 1265-c. 1326) was one of the many religious penitents who lived a pious and self-abnegating life, often experiencing visions, and who after death became the object of mainly local popular devotion. She was originally buried beneath the high altar in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rimini in her red marble sarcophagus.
