Portrait of Aristide Maillol

While in Paris, Rippl-Rónai became friends with Aristide Maillol (1861-1944), the French Catalan sculptor, painter, and printmaker. They shared a studio in 1892 and Rippl-Rónai later painted the present excellent portrait of Maillol.
