Crucifixion

This work is part of the decoration of the Chapel of the Cross in the collegiate church of Santa Maria at Impruneta. This chapel houses a piece of wood the True Cross. The perfect modelling of the crucified Christ, flanked by the Virgin and St John, reveals the influence of Brunelleschi's wooden Crucifix in Santa Maria Novella, Florence.
