On the left side of the painting we can recognize Vincenzo I, in the same white mantel he wore during his coronation, and Guglielmo, portrayed posthumously, and somewhat paradoxically, as roughly the same age as his son. The original composition had the portraits of Vincenzo's three sons behind him.
