This tondo is at the centre of the ceiling in the Sala dell'Iliade in the Palazzo Pitti. The painting shows an assembly of the ancient gods on Mount Olympus, presided over by Zeus. Other decorations illustrate scenes from Homer's Iliad, hence the room's name.
