There are other surviving examples of this plaque. The plaques do not suggest the atmospheric breadth achieved in Tacca's masterpiece in relief, the Stoning of Saint Stephen, in Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio, Florence, and are probably to be dated somewhat earlier.
