Jan Weenix, son of Jan Baptist Weenix, closely emulated his father. He specialized in hunting trophy pieces, usually set in a park seen in the rosy glow of twilight and often embellished with classical and pseudo-classical sculpture, ornamental antique urns, and a view of a palatial house in the background.
