Beneath the twelfth-century pulpit, the fourth-century Stlicone's sarcophagus is placed. The so-called Sarcofago di Stilicone is an Ancient Roman paleochristian sarcophagus dating from around 385 C.E., sculpted for a high-ranking military authority and his wife.
