Speculum Virginum (Mirror of Virgins) is a 12th-century didactic treatise on female monastic life. The original text dates to the mid-12th century and was possibly composed at the Augustinian Abbey of Andernach.
The present sheet from the manuscript shows two pairs of knights doing battle.
