The picture shows folio 19v with a full-page miniature featuring the Journey and Adoration of the Magi. The top register depicts the arrival of the Magi, guided by the star, with the first king riding into the gold background. In the middle, the Magi present their gifts to Jesus, while at the bottom they emerge from the gold background and discuss what they have seen.
The Magi's movement is Gothic in rhythm, but their bodies retain Romanesque mass.
