The picture shows folio 99r. It contains a half-page miniature depicting the Martyrdom of St James Major above the text with a decorative initial E in green.
Saint James Major was beheaded with a sword in Jerusalem around AD 44 by order of King Herod Agrippa I. He was the first of the twelve apostles to suffer martyrdom and the only apostle whose death is recorded in the New Testament. His feast is celebrated on July 25.
The folio contains an embroidered repair.
