The picture shows folio 120v. It contains a large historiated initial D which depicts St Gall standing in a blue dress on a green background. The initial includes the Latin word Deus qui (God who).
Saint Gall (c. 550-c. 645) was an Irish monk who helped spread Irish influence while introducing Christianity to western Europe. He was a disciple and one of the traditional twelve companions of Columbanus on his mission from Ireland to the continent. His feast day is October 16.
The folio contains an embroidered repair.
