The Sarum Missal was produced between 1240 and 1260 in the scriptorium attached to Salisbury Cathedral. It contains the texts required for the celebration of Mass according to the Use of Sarum.

The manuscript opens with a calendar on folios 3r-8v, executed in black, blue, and red ink. The picture shows folio 8v representing the month of December.
