This English parchment codex, written in Latin, contains 44 folios with 112 miniatures in brown, green, and red, on alternately blue and red backgrounds.
The miniature on folio 23v depicts cranes. On sentry duty they keep themselves awake by holding a stone in their claw; if they fall asleep the stone drops. The bird on the right is asleep with its head buried in its feathers.
