The Códice Rico contains 195 cantigas (200 originally) and is the first of the four preserved Cantigas manuscripts in which text, music, and image are combined. This manuscript stands out from among this group through its exceptionally impressive decoration.
The picture shows the full-page miniature on folio 199r. The miniature illustrates cantiga CXLII; its six scenes depict falconry.
