The miniature on folio 3v depicts the zodiac sign of Cancer (crab) at the centre of an intricate dual-ring diagram illustrating Moirogenesis.

The outer ring of the diagram contains images representing every single degree of a given zodiac sign; the inner ring includes a brief description of the fate of anyone born in that degree of the sign.

In the outer ring of the Cancer miniature, the images depict the activities of one or two figures, along with a few animals and symbolic objects.
