Manuscript (Lat. III. 111)
Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, Venice

This codex was produced for the Basilica of San Marco in Venice. The decoration, found on almost every page, was the work of a number of artists from different schools: Paduan and Emilian stylistic features, as well as Byzantine influence can be observed.

The decoration consists of border frames made up of foliate motifs, miniatures from scenes from the Bible and the lives of the saints, and a large, full-page Crucifixion.

The picture shows a detail of folio 60v.
