This copy of a Tacuinum Sanitatis (an illustrated health handbook) was owned by Verde Visconti, a daughter of Bernabò Visconti and the wife of Leopold of Austria. The illustration on folio 103 represents Spring. The manual uses naturalistic shorthand to provide instructions on medical self-help.
