This manuscript probably belonged to Cardinal Ippolito d'Este, Archbishop of Milan in 1497. The scribe was Giovan Battista de' Lorenzi, who also wrote several other fine Milanese manuscripts in the late fifteenth century.
On folio 105 Mary Magdalen is shown with clasped hands and long fair hair; she stands in a building supported by four columns.
