This vast lectern Latin Bible was commissioned by a Dutch priest, Herman Droem, canon of Utrecht from 1425 and dean of Utrecht from 1458 until his death in 1476. The Bible was intended for use in church. The picture shows folio 15r, the opening page of Genesis.
